Galerie Nordenhake Expands with New Charlottenburg Space
Galerie Nordenhake, which has branches in Berlin, Stockholm, and Mexico City, is set to unveil a new, expanded venue in Berlin's Charlottenburg area. This gallery, situated at Goethestraße 2–3, will open its doors on September 10th, coinciding with Berlin Art Week. The first exhibition, named “Symptoms,” will showcase the work of 16 artists, including Mirosław Bałka, John Coplans, Ann Edholm, and Not Vital, who delve into themes of discomfort and hidden conditions through various mediums such as collage, photography, sculpture, and painting. The building, designed by architect Wilhelm Tuckermann and originally built in 1881 as a post office complex, was formerly home to Galerie Max Hetzler. This relocation follows a year of programming celebrating the gallery's 50th anniversary, which will culminate in 2026.
