Galerie Nature Forte's 'Bombes Météo' Exhibition Runs September 10–October 3, 2026

exhibition · 2026-09-07

Galerie Nature Forte will present 'Bombes Météo' from September 10 to October 3, 2026, an exhibition that repurposes the phrase 'weather bomb' to raise awareness about climate disasters and the broader ecological situation. While individual works may not directly address the theme, the collective project aims to sensitize viewers. Around thirty artists have been invited to participate with complete creative freedom over form, color, and technique, under the sole constraint that each work must incorporate at least one spray paint can—whether intact, crushed, cut, or assembled with others—and be wall-mountable. Some artists have taken liberties with the rules, placing cans on supports. The gallery, founded in March 2023 by photographer Jonk, who specializes in abandoned places reclaimed by nature, promotes artists whose work demonstrates nature's power. Jonk also launched the 'Nature Forte' concept, envisioning it as a distinct visual art genre akin to landscape, portrait, or still life, encompassing any creation that highlights nature's force, whether in relation to humanity or not. This includes painting, sculpture, photography, drawing, and illustration. Jonk and the gallery's artists share the ambition of showcasing nature's strength and awakening consciences.
