Galerie La Ligne presents geometric art pioneers from Delaunay to Molnar

Galerie La Ligne in Zurich is hosting a group exhibition titled 'Les artistes de l'art géométrique qui ont marqué le XXe siècle,' running until July 31, 2026. The show brings together five major artists—Sonia Delaunay, Vera Molnar, Aurélie Nemours, Günther Uecker, and Christian Megert—to demonstrate the diversity within geometric abstraction. Vera Molnar, a pioneer of digital art, used computers to generate variations and introduce deliberate disruptions. Christian Megert incorporates mirrors to extend geometry into real space, engaging the viewer. Günther Uecker's nail reliefs create shifting light vibrations. Aurélie Nemours' repetitive forms evoke contemplation and spirituality. Sonia Delaunay's compositions fuse color, rhythm, and geometry akin to music. The exhibition argues that geometric art is not rigid but a flexible tool for personal expression.
