Galerie Hélène Bailly Marcilhac Opens Second Space with 'All Eyes on You'

exhibition · 2026-09-27

Galerie Hélène Bailly Marcilhac will open a second gallery at 18 avenue Matignon in Paris's 8th arrondissement, inaugurated on October 19, 2026, during the Nocturne of the Association Matignon Saint-Honoré. The inaugural exhibition, 'All Eyes on You,' runs from October 20, 2026 to January 9, 2027, with scenography by fashion designer Alexis Mabille. The show explores the gaze and the relationships between artworks and viewers, featuring major modern art pieces that examine representations of the figure, face, and portrait. Mabille's design draws on correspondences between art, design, and creation. The new space, fully renovated, is conceived as a sober, elegant, and flexible environment that can evolve with exhibitions and scenographic proposals. Hélène Bailly Marcilhac noted that her parents had their gallery at the same address in the 1980s, making the reopening a family homecoming after nearly forty years. She described the new venue as a different, more open, and experimental place where art can dialogue with design and other universes. Mabille stated that in both haute couture and interior decoration, everything begins with the gaze, and that 'All Eyes on You' cannot leave one indifferent. The gallery aims to create a living, free, and evolving space that crosses eras, disciplines, and perspectives through exhibitions, curatorial projects, and collaborations.
