Galerie Amélie du Chalard celebrates 10 years with immersive group show

Galerie Amélie du Chalard in Paris marks its tenth anniversary with a group exhibition featuring Heidi Lanino, Manon Gignoux, Juliette Lemontey, and Eberhard Ross. The show is staged in the gallery's apartment-like space at 18 Rue Séguier in the 6th arrondissement. A colorful ribbon by Manon Gignoux, produced in collaboration with Ateliers d'Offard, runs through the gallery and extends into the garden. Pianist Pascale Berthelot, in partnership with Steinway & Sons, will perform music inspired by Eberhard Ross's abstract paintings. Founder Amélie du Chalard, a former investment banker, selects artists drawn to materiality, simplicity, and the tension between figuration and abstraction. She emulates early 20th-century dealers who welcomed collectors and artists at home, favoring an informal approach over white cubes. Beyond Paris, the gallery presents a summer exhibition in Céreste, Luberon, dedicated to painter Tanguy Tolila, who works on unconventional supports like road maps, music scores, and book covers. At the Chapelle des Pénitents, Tolila reworks old canvases, paying homage to his uncle, also a painter and resistance fighter deported to Germany, who died at 18. In Les Baux-de-Provence, sculptor Audrey Guimard installs monumental carved limestone blocks throughout the village.
