G.B. Jones Returns to COOPER COLE with 'A Razor for an Apple'
A Razor for an Apple, G.B. Jones's third solo exhibition, is currently on display at COOPER COLE in Toronto. This showcase includes witch portraits created with pencil on paper, drawn from her upcoming 2024 book, Witches (Heretic House / Midnight Mass Press). Among the historical and cinematic witches portrayed are Doreen Valiente, Janet Farrar, Rosaleen Norton, Sybil Leek, Neve Campbell, Rachel True, and Alyson Hannigan. The exhibition also features a portrait of a W.I.T.C.H. member and three illustrations of Kerr's Halloween Kisses, along with a representation of 99 Gloucester Street, the former headquarters of The Process Church. Scott Treleaven's text draws parallels between Jones and Cady Noland. Born in 1965 in Bowmanville, Ontario, Jones co-founded J.D.s and Fifth Column and has worked with Paul P. since 2002. She resides in Toronto.
