Future Green Studio Designs Temple Square Plaza for Alloy Block in Downtown Brooklyn

Alloy Development has unveiled plans for Temple Square Plaza, a public park situated in Downtown Brooklyn, crafted by Future Green Studio and overseen by the Downtown Brooklyn Partnership. This park will be located at the intersection of Third Street and Flatbush Avenue, as part of the larger Alloy Block megadevelopment, One Third Avenue, which is expected to be finished by early 2028. The design incorporates circular motifs, benches, fresh greenery, movable seating, and timber benches. Jared Della Valle, the CEO of Alloy, highlighted the plaza's importance in fostering a lively, sustainable environment for residents. Additionally, the project will repurpose a section of Schermerhorn Street for pedestrian use, enhancing street lighting, drainage, and removing outdated hydrants. The Alloy Block will feature both market-rate and affordable housing, retail spaces, and New York's inaugural passive public school, designed by ARO.
