Further Ther: Tomás Fernandes and Natasza Grzeskiewicz's Hybrid Home-Studio in Lisbon
Further Ther, a studio and showroom located on Rua de São Bento in Lisbon, Portugal, is run by designers Tomás Fernandes and Natasza Grzeskiewicz. The duo, who share a common aesthetic vision, first crossed paths at Domaine de Boisbuchet in France. After spending three years in Stavanger, Norway, they established their atelier in Portugal, focusing on collectible furniture and objects. They take advantage of local resources, with various stones sourced within a 20-kilometer radius of Lisbon. Their building, finished in 2019, includes a ceramic studio and an open living area. Noteworthy creations comprise the Bend Sofa, a basalt-stone kitchen unit, and the Askew Chair. Their guiding philosophy is 'we are what we explore.'
