Fujifilm Raises Japanese Camera Prices by up to 23%
On October 1, Fujifilm implemented price hikes on a significant portion of its photography products in Japan, with increases reaching as high as 23% due to escalating expenses related to parts, materials, manufacturing, and logistics. Price adjustments affected all three GFX models: GFX100 II, GFX100S II, and GFX100RF. The X Series also saw increases for the X-T50, X-T50 kit, X-E5, XF 23mm f/2.8 R WR kit, and X100VI. Additionally, the XF 500mm f/5.6 R LM OIS WR lens experienced a rise of approximately 12%. The Instax range encountered the most significant hikes, with prices soaring between 6 and 23%. President and CEO Koji Matsumoto noted that efficiency measures were insufficient to offset these costs, following a prior increase in April 2025.
