Frieze House Seoul Presents Dual Landscape Exhibitions by Paula Cooper and Yumekoubou Galleries
Frieze House Seoul, which opened its doors in 2025, will feature two exhibitions from August 27 to September 19, 2026, that delve into the connection between humanity and nature. The Paula Cooper Gallery is showcasing 'WOODS LANDS MEADOWS,' which includes works from 14 artists who interpret landscapes through diverse mediums. Highlights are Cynthia Hawkins' innovative maps, pieces inspired by childhood from Veronica Ryan, Hans Haacke's 'Sky Line' (1967), and Cecily Brown's 'Temptation of the Lapin' (2023). Meanwhile, Yumekoubou Gallery presents 'INVISIBLE FOREST' by Tanabe Chikuunsai IV, featuring an installation of 7,000 bamboo strips, alongside 'SHIKAI' sculptures and a larger piece that mimics a mycelial network, bridging natural and digital realms.
