Friedmann & Versace Design La Galerie Salon at Hôtel Barrière Fouquet's Paris
La Galerie, a new social salon designed by Friedmann & Versace, has opened at Hôtel Barrière Fouquet's Paris, the first hotel on the Champs-Élysées to receive Palace designation from the French government. The Art Deco-inspired space features braid-edged watered-silk wall coverings, bronze column heads, natural stone panels with bespoke wood marquetry, and a Madeleine Castaing-patterned carpet. A central glass dome with plaster frieze and geometric trompe l'œil illuminates custom mahogany armchairs by Henryot. Decorative art specialists Blundell & Therrien contributed a painting of Parisian horse chestnut trees using glue and Blanc de Meudon chalk, while Gohard Studio supplied bas-reliefs evoking 1920s Paris. The hotel also offers a seasonal Fouquet's Pickleball Club in the Miroir courtyard. La Galerie serves as an all-day social hub, blurring the line between lobby and living room.
