Freitag Unveils Refined 'Reference' Bag Collection Made from Recycled Truck Tarpaulins

Freitag, a company based in Zurich and established in 1993, has introduced an updated 'Reference' collection that enhances its commitment to upcycling. Originally launched in 2009, this new collection showcases four handcrafted bags made from truck tarpaulins, emphasizing color consistency and intricate details. The project was led by product designer Anne Bachmann, who has been with Freitag for 16 years. The initial color palette features whites, silvers, reds, and blues, with additional colors planned for the future. The bags include R201 ELLY (CHF330), R202 BATES (CHF481), R203 MAZIE (CHF435), and R204 NAN (CHF389), each containing recycled materials and a repair kit.
