Francisco Cancino's Spring 2027 Collection Maps Mexico Through the Atlas
Designer Francisco Cancino from Chiapas unveiled his latest collection, “El Abrazo del Amor del Universo,” for spring 2027. This collection takes a fresh direction, reflecting contemporary life in Mexico, contrasting with his earlier works: “Los primeros mexicanos” from spring 2024 and “La Última Ciudad” from fall 2025. Cancino drew inspiration from an atlas, featuring common elements like prickly pears and women preparing gorditas in his sophisticated pieces. The debut look included a crisp white shirt, striped wide-leg trousers, and a fitted vest, complemented by rich earthy colors and distinctive headpieces by Alejandro Rincón, along with jewelry crafted by Phoebe Stephens.
