Francesca Marconi's 'Manifesto al Presente' at Fondazione Corrente

Francesca Marconi's project 'Manifesto al Presente' at Fondazione Corrente in Milan, curated by Gabi Scardi and supported by nctm e l’arte, runs until June 30, 2026. The exhibition juxtaposes archival photographs from Fondazione ISEC depicting industrial Sesto San Giovanni and northeast Milan with contemporary precarious labor. Marconi uses gold leaf overlays, collages, and visual slippages to connect past factory struggles with current platform work and logistics. Testimonies include Asmerom, an Eritrean worker earning €5/hour for 16-hour shifts, and Adrielly, a sex worker, alongside historical figures like Minerva factory strikers. The show features children's desires from Scuola Media del Parco Trotter. Marconi frames the work as an intimate dialogue restoring coexistence of bodies, struggles, and experiences.
