Fran Silvestre Arquitectos Unveils Cylindrical House in Las Rozas, Madrid
House in Las Rozas, a single-story home located near Madrid, Spain, has been completed by Fran Silvestre Arquitectos. This residence showcases cylindrical forms and is finished in white render with sloped roofs, providing a view of the Sierra de Guadarrama. The three largest cylindrical sections contain living areas on a single level, each designed with a central room and semicircular terraces. A smaller cylinder features an elevated swimming pool and terrace, accessible through sliding glass doors. At the core of the house lies a triangular courtyard surrounded by convex walls. The interiors boast curved walls and light stone flooring. Silvestre emphasized the design’s aim for 'geometric clarity' and the way the limited material selection enhances light and shadow. Silvestre established his studio in 2005. Photography by Fernando Guerra.
