Fragmentos Converts Historic Lisbon Warehouse into Residential Complex

In Lisbon's historic riverside district between Alcântara and Belém, the former Mitera plastics warehouse and store has been rehabilitated and expanded into a residential complex organized around patios, terraces, and a communal rooftop pool. The project, named Apartamentos Junqueira 307, was commissioned by developer Groom Invest and designed by the architecture firm Fragmentos, with Marcus Cerdeira as principal architect. The building, which had been vacant and retained an industrial character for years, now spans 2,349 square meters and was completed in 2025. The renovation includes landscape architecture by Sofia Raimundo and engineering consultancy from Teixeira Trigo and 2H. The site is immediately adjacent to Quake - Museu do Terramoto, another Fragmentos project. The project was curated by Susanna Moreira and photographed by Tiago Sales. The residential complex is categorized as residential architecture and renovation, reflecting a trend of adaptive reuse in Lisbon's historic areas.
