Frágil como una bomba: El Núcleo Residency Exhibition Debuts in Madrid

From September 22 to 27, 2026, Fundación PONS will kick off its first exhibition in Madrid, titled "Frágil como una bomba." This event is brought to life by El Núcleo artist residency from Fundación SZ and curated by Inés Alonso Jarabo. Featured artists include current residents Leticia Martínez Pérez, Sonsoles Masiá, and Rubén Ojeda Guzmán, along with past residents like Carla Cascales and Juan Díaz-Faes. The exhibition’s title, drawn from a Spanish saying, highlights the contrast between delicate beauty and hidden explosiveness. Each artist explores these themes in unique ways, such as Martínez Pérez combining silk and fermented foods. This residency, now in its eighth year at Yeguada El Espinar, supports artists for a month, covering essential expenses.
