Four New Hotels in Chianti, Vienna, Fort Lauderdale and Rome Blend Heritage with Modern Design

• La Darbia is set in an 11th-century hamlet in Chianti, Italy, less than an hour's drive south of Florence.
• Architect brothers Gian Carlo and Matteo Primatesta restored La Darbia using regional materials: pietra serena, terracotta from Impruneta, and travertine from Rapolano.
• La Darbia's restaurant is led by chefs Matteo Monfrinotti and Sebastiano Pagliaro, using olive oil from the on-site grove and lavender honey from 40 beehives.
• The Companion in Vienna is on Mariahilfer Strasse, designed by Berlin-based architect Piotr Wisniewski, revitalizing a historic Wilhelminian building.

• Casa JK Place in Rome offers expansive apartments with five-star services, designed by Michele Bönan, with rooms featuring gold-handled double doors, black marble bathrooms, Calacatta marble kitchens, and walls in Venetian red, ivy green, and tobacco tones.
• Ori Kafri, owner of JK Place group, has properties in Capri, Paris, and a 41-key hotel opening in Milan next year.
