Four Global Exhibitions on the Radar: Fotografiska, Esther Schipper, National Museum of Singapore, V&A
Four exhibitions spanning Stockholm, Berlin, Singapore and London appear on the Art Girl radar this week. At Fotografiska in Stockholm, "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger" is on view. Berlin's Esther Schipper hosts Simon Fujiwara's "Who lived happily ever after." In Singapore, the National Museum of Singapore presents "P*DA20: Power of Singapore Design." The Victoria and Albert Museum in London stages "The Burberry Trench Coat." Together the four shows map a circuit of global capitals, pairing a photography museum, a commercial gallery, a national museum and a design museum. The selection runs from contemporary photography and a solo presentation by Simon Fujiwara to a national design showcase and a fashion-history display devoted to a single garment, the Burberry trench coat.
