Fondation Maeght's Summer 2026 Season Features Ellsworth Kelly and Peter Knapp Exhibitions

Fondation Maeght in Saint-Paul-de-Vence presents a major summer 2026 season with two headline exhibitions. From June 27 to November 15, "Ellsworth Kelly: At the Edge of Water" explores water as a key influence on Kelly's practice, curated by Éric de Chassey with the Ellsworth Kelly Studio. It includes over 100 works, many never exhibited, plus the reconstruction of "Blue Floor Panel for Leo" (1992). The second exhibition, "Peter Knapp: The Era of Courrèges" (May 14 onward), examines Knapp's photography for André Courrèges in the 1960s, featuring large-format prints, archival material, and original garments. The season also includes an "American Season" of performances by the Orchestre National de Cannes, Vanessa Wagner, Marion Rampal, Yerai Cortés, and Gilles Peterson, plus a site-specific piece by the Martha Graham Dance Company. The Fondation recently completed an architectural expansion in 2024, adding underground galleries, and restored its gardens, Pierre Tal Coat's mosaic, the Kandinsky skylight, and the café Sous les Pins.
