Fondation Francès Opens 'Faire corps' Photography Retrospective
For the first time, the Fondation Francès is presenting its photographic collection, which comprises nearly 300 pieces by more than 50 artists, such as Richard Avedon, Nan Goldin, Diane Arbus, and Robert Mapplethorpe. The exhibition, named 'Faire corps', will display 100 works in Clichy and Senlis from September 17 to December 19, 2026, in celebration of the Bicentenary of Photography. Developed over two decades, the collection delves into the human experience through various lenses, including intimate, documentary, and experimental perspectives. Founder Estelle Francès emphasizes, "Photography is... the medium of our collection." Featured artists also include Nobuyoshi Araki, Gregory Crewdson, and Dorothea Lange, providing a unique opportunity to see both highlights and seldom-exhibited works.
