In Riehen, the Fondation Beyeler has unveiled its expanded ensemble with an exhibition titled 'Constellations,' featuring approximately 230 artworks across Renzo Piano's Beyeler Museum, the newly constructed Wyss Museum by Peter Zumthor, an enlarged park, and historical structures. This exhibition, inspired by Alexander Calder's 'Constellations' (1943), emphasizes the interactions between art, architecture, and the natural environment. Seasonal rotations of the rooms will provide diverse displays. Notable artists showcased include Claude Monet, Pablo Picasso, Joan Miró, René Magritte, Alberto Giacometti, Mark Rothko, Cy Twombly, Louise Bourgeois, Gerhard Richter, Roni Horn, and Wolfgang Tillmans, representing the 19th to 21st centuries. The opening, which took place on October 16, 2026, coincided with a retrospective of Ruth Asawa, and a film captures the project.
