Florim and Matteo Thun & Partners Launch SensiVenezia Porcelain Stoneware Collection

architecture-design · 2026-10-12

Florim has introduced SensiVenezia, a new porcelain stoneware collection within its Sensi line, crafted by designers Matteo Thun and Benedetto Fasciana. This series captures the textures and visual essence of Venice, influenced by Carlo Scarpa's compositional nuances. Following the Sensi and SensiTerre collections, it reimagines classic Venetian terrazzo for modern architecture. The color palette features twelve shades named after iconic Venetian locations, including Arsenale, Fenice, Rialto, and Giudecca, reflecting the city's unique architecture and waterways. Available in 9 mm and 20 mm thicknesses, the collection includes large-format slabs up to 120×120 cm, designed to reduce joint lines and enhance the visual flow of terrazzo. Additionally, a decorative 30×30 cm mesh-mounted element, Scacchiera, showcases a geometric pattern. The body of the tiles, resembling porphyry, contains varied aggregates with light-catching opalescent points, evoking the beauty of aged stone. This collaboration merges technical accuracy with local tradition, emphasizing sensory experience as a core principle throughout the Sensi range.
