architecture-design · 2026-07-02

The installation 'Páginas Flotantes' (Floating Pages), designed by f-a-n architects, has been erected at the entrance of the Aldea de las Letras (Letters Village) in Huizhou, China. Curated by 韩爽 (HAN Shuang), the 61 m² structure sits by the river, facing a thousand-year-old banyan tree across the water. It serves as a spatial threshold marking the start of a visitor's journey through the literary-themed village. The design team includes Ziyue Liu, Shuai Wang, and Wanying Xie, with engineering by iStructure. Photographs were taken by Fangfang Tian and Jinquan Kong. Completed in 2025, the installation integrates into the landscape to introduce the narrative embedded in the village.
