Flashback Art Fair 2026: Torino's XIV Edition Explores Non-Linear Time

The XIV edition of Flashback Art Fair, titled 'IN TIME', will take place from October 29 to November 1, 2026, at Flashback Habitat in Turin, Italy. Directed by Stefania Poddighe and Ginevra Pucci, with artistic direction by Alessandro Bulgini, the fair challenges linear art chronology, presenting time as an open dimension where past, present, and future coexist. The theme 'IN TIME' follows last year's untitled edition, emphasizing overlapping temporalities and contaminations. The fair's premise is that 'all art is contemporary.' Early gallery presentations include a relief of the Nativity and a panel of the Adoration of the Magi attributed to Ruprecht Potsch (Galleria Flavio Pozzallo), Andrea Vaccaro's 'Martyrdom of Saint Sebastian' (1640, Galleria Canesso), and Michele Zaza's 'Neo-Terrestre' (1979, Sangallo Fine Art), which features photographs taken in Matera. The fair also explores political memory through Franco Angeli's untitled 1960s work with hammer and sickle (Galleria Lombardi) and Sebastiaan Straatsma's 'Anonymous' (Galleria Antonella Villanova), which incorporates the Guy Fawkes mask. A French ring from the 1940s with gold, platinum, diamonds, and no-heat sapphire is presented by Lorenzo e Paola Monticone Gioielli d'Epoca. The fair aims to reflect on how time can be experienced on multiple levels—liturgical, historical, political, medial, cosmic, and biographical—as a tool to change one's view of reality.
