Flamingo Estate and Beni Rugs Launch Second Rug Collection Exclusively at Design Within Reach
Flamingo Estate, the Los Angeles lifestyle brand founded by Richard Christiansen, has launched a second collaboration with Beni Rugs, a Marrakech-based rug maker. The five new hand-knotted rugs are available exclusively through Design Within Reach. The collection draws inspiration from the estate's gardens, architecture, and light, using earthy tones like terracotta, ochre, and charcoal. Beni Rugs, founded by Robert Wright and Tiberio Lobo-Navia, has been weaving rugs from Atlas Mountain wool since 2018. The collaboration was sparked by a meeting in Marrakech and builds on a shared commitment to natural materials and artisanal craftsmanship. The rugs feature motifs from the estate's checkerboard tilework, garden ladders, and stained glass bathhouse designed by Studio KO. Design Within Reach's creative director Omar Nobil praised the collection's human-centered approach.
