Final James Bond Screen Tests Set for This Weekend as Callum Turner, Jack Lowden and Josh O'Connor Reportedly Audition
Final screen tests for the upcoming James Bond are reportedly set for this weekend, potentially starting as soon as Friday, featuring three to five actors, including Callum Turner, Jack Lowden, and Josh O'Connor. The auditions will assess stunts, dialogue delivery, and on-camera charisma. Initially scheduled for early October, these tests were postponed due to conflicts in scheduling. Variety has indicated that Lowden might be a frontrunner. O'Connor gained fame for his portrayal of Prince Charles in The Crown. Other previous candidates included Aaron Taylor-Johnson, James Norton, and Paul Mescal. Amazon MGM Studios announced the casting in May, with producer Amy Pascal hinting at news by the end of the year. Directed by Denis Villeneuve, the film is slated for release in 2028. Daniel Craig last played Bond in 2021's No Time to Die.
