Filipe Borges de Macedo Renovates 1933 Raul Lino House in Lisbon's Belém District

A 150 m² residence in Lisbon's Casas Económicas das Terras do Forno neighborhood has been completed by architect Filipe Borges de Macedo, with a project year of 2026. The housing estate, inaugurated in 1938 in the Belém parish, was originally designed in 1933 by architect Raul Lino and comprises 204 low-cost homes in a traditional style, built for civil and military employees as well as members of the National Unions. Borges de Macedo led the project through his firm Borges de Macedo Arquitectura Lda, with a design team of Aline Gonçalves, Luís Filipe Pinto and Tomás Nunes. Technical engineering was handled by Joaquim Jerónimo and João Garvão Sinfrónio, and Velho Toque Lda served as general contractor. Materials and products came from suppliers Efapel, JNF, MOSO Bamboo, Projecto Mosaico, Sanitana and Sapa. Nuno Almendra photographed the finished house, and Susanna Moreira curated the presentation. The project falls under the residential architecture and houses category.
