Feudi di San Gregorio Marks 40 Years with Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo Art Collaboration
The Feudi di San Gregorio winery, located in Avellino, marks its 40th anniversary with a partnership with Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, showcasing four contemporary art installations. Established in 1986 amidst the methanol crisis, the winery has progressed alongside the Italian wine industry, which now features around 160 producers in Irpinia. Prominent grape varieties include Aglianico, Fiano, Greco, and Falanghina. Designed by Hikaru Mori and opened in 2004, the facility combines production with hospitality. Current issues include a decrease in young consumers and the impact of climate change. Featured artists are Vanessa Beecroft, Massimo Bartolini, Katja Novitskova, and Peter Fischli & David Weiss. Future initiatives may focus on artist residencies and climate documentation. The article was authored by Paolo Cuccia.
