Felice Varini's First Major Swiss Monographic Exhibition at Museo d'Arte Mendrisio
From May 10 to October 11, 2026, the Museo d'Arte Mendrisio in Switzerland will host a solo exhibition by Swiss artist Felice Varini. This significant monographic exhibition, the first of its kind in Switzerland, is curated by Barbara Paltenghi Malacrida, Francesca Bernasconi, and Varini himself. It will showcase new pieces alongside reimagined historical works, such as '360° rouge n°2' from 1989. Born in Locarno in 1952 and residing in Paris since 1978, Varini is recognized for his anamorphic art. Featured works include 'Dischi volanti' and 'Spirale gialla.' The exhibition is supported by Repubblica e Cantone Ticino – Fondo Swisslos and includes a bilingual catalog with essays by Paltenghi Malacrida, Paolo Bolpagni, and Gianni Biondillo. Varini has held over 50 solo exhibitions worldwide.
