Federico Stefanovich Renovates Mexico City Studio in 1922 Edificio Humboldt with Nama Studio
In Mexico City's Centro, the historic Edificio Humboldt, designed by Thomas Sinclair Gore and completed in 1922, has been transformed by lighting designer Federico Stefanovich. Working alongside Nama Studio, he maintained the 1920s architectural elements while incorporating muted mineral blue, chocolate-toned plaster, and brown-stained wood. This renovated studio functions as a showroom, production workshop, and workspace. The original windows were restored, complemented by a custom modular panel system to optimize natural light. Additionally, a second fibreglass paneling system creates sliding doors for the workshop. The lounge showcases a semi-circular sofa crafted by Stefanovich's team. For the launch, he presented his Salina Collection in collaboration with Ago Projects, with photography by Alejandro Ramirez Orozco.
