Federica Balconi's 'Impalcature affettive, uso domestico' at Traffic Gallery

Traffic Gallery in Bergamo presents 'Impalcature affettive, uso domestico', the first solo exhibition in the city by artist Federica Balconi, curated by Sara Parolini. 'La piccola battaglia' (2026) reduces combat iconography to a repetitive graphic exercise. 'Autoritratto' (2026) traces identity through continuous line. Balconi, raised in an engineering family, draws on mechanical components to create 'impossible machines' that retain the appearance of functionality while remaining inoperative. The exhibition title references scaffolding as a support for ongoing processes, not stabilization.
