Federica Balconi's 'Guastafeste' Opens at Platea | Palazzo Galeano as Second Chapter of Fivefold Tuning

Federica Balconi (Monza, 1999) presents 'Guastafeste' at Platea | Palazzo Galeano in Lodi, running from June 4, 2026 to January 15, 2027. This is the second exhibition in the Fivefold Tuning program, curated by Giovanna Manzotti, which reimagines the exhibition schedule as a unified narrative rather than a succession of solo shows. The program began in March 2026 with Liliana Moro's architectural intervention '| senza | soluzione di continuità'. Balconi's sculpture, titled 'Guastafeste', is a playful, ironic reinterpretation of a party streamer, placed in the street-facing window display that is always illuminated and visible from outside. Her practice combines design, mechanics, and architectural references with deliberately fragile and unstable compositions. Fivefold Tuning will also feature Lorena Bucur (Cremona, 1996), Diana Lola Posani (Milano, 1994), and Andrea Di Lorenzo (Varese, 1994) between June and November 2026, all working within Moro's environment. The project is organized by Associazione Platea | Palazzo Galeano e.t.s., founded in 2020. Concurrently, the educational program 'Buon Compleanno Platea!' returns for its fifth edition, led by artist Nicola Biagetti with students from Liceo Artistico Callisto Piazza di Lodi.
