Fasim Paints Anti-War Mural “Stop Wars!” for BesArt The River Museum

Fasim, an urban artist from Barcelona, has unveiled a significant mural named “Stop Wars!” at BesArt The River Museum, part of an open-air urban art initiative along the Besòs River. This artwork merges traditional iconography with depictions of warfare, dismembered figures, serpents, hybrid characters, and pop culture references, including Spider-Man. The museum, established by David Hernández and curated by Jordi Rubio, is supported by the Mediterranean Street Art Association (AMSA) and stretches over 18 kilometers, connecting Barcelona, Sant Adrià de Besòs, and Santa Coloma de Gramenet. Fasim’s mural serves as a poetic commentary on military conflict, integrating elements from Greek mythology, such as Artemis and the Hydra, with modern symbols.
