Farsettiarte Reports €4.9M in First Half 2026, Led by Modern Art

Farsettiarte closed the first half of 2026 with 16 auctions (13 online, 3 in-person) totaling €4.9 million including fees. The auction house noted cautious collector behavior amid global political and economic uncertainty, with buyers focusing on high-quality works combining historical value and investment potential. Top lots were all Modern Art: Giorgio Morandi's 'Natura morta' (1921) sold for €1,722,250; Piero Dorazio's 'Entrez S.V.P. Porta 17' (1958-59) for €378,500; Giorgio de Chirico's 'San Giorgio' for €140,050; and de Chirico's 'Piazza d’Italia' (1963) for €278,100. The jewelry and watches department also performed well, with a solitaire diamond ring fetching €140,050. International buyers accounted for 30% of purchasers, mainly from France, Spain, and the United States, driven by online participation. Farsettiarte aims to consolidate growth in the second half through quality standards, digitalization, and department expansion.
