Farah Atassi's 'Metamorfosis' at Almine Rech New York

Almine Rech New York presents 'Metamorfosis', the fifth solo exhibition of Farah Atassi, running until July 2026. The show features eight new paintings that explore transformed forms, deconstructed through a liberated mind and brushstroke. A key work is 'Nocturno', a hybrid vegetal-human figure set in an indeterminate space reminiscent of Francis Bacon. The painting depicts a change gestating as clouds drift indifferently past walls and window frames, with a full moon hanging in a daytime sky. Each composition represents a dream, with clouds guiding the viewer's gaze across canvases. The exhibition takes its preface from Ovid's 'Metamorphoses'.
