FamilyMart opens Famima Park Azabudai, a next-gen konbini by Nigo and Wonderwall
FamilyMart has launched Famima Park Azabudai in Tokyo, a next-generation convenience store created for the company's 45th anniversary. The store features a redesigned logo, a rooftop forest, and a sharp new interior designed by Masamichi Katayama's Wonderwall. Creative lead Nigo oversaw the concept, from the logo to exclusive merchandise including T-shirts, cushions, and tote bags. The store also showcases Convenience Wear, FamilyMart's fashion line by Hiromichi Ochiai, which has sold over 30 million pairs of socks since 2021. Limited-edition denim jackets and jeans quickly sold out. Actor Tadanobu Asano serves as brand ambassador. Famima Stand offers takeaway Fami-Chiki fried chicken. FamilyMart president Tatsuo Odani stated the project aims for sustainable growth and global brand status. Elements from Famima are being rolled out in regular FamilyMart locations across Japan, though no additional standalone stores are planned yet.
