Faith Ringgold's Quilt Series Explores Art History and Social Themes

Faith Ringgold, an artist born in 1930 in New York City who passed away in 2024, created a series titled The French Collection from 1991 to 1997. This series features 12 works depicting a fictional character, Willia Marie Simone, who moves from New York to Paris to pursue art.
