Fairfax Dorn on Collecting for Feeling and Ballroom Marfa's Vision

In an interview with CULTURED, Fairfax Dorn, co-founder of Ballroom Marfa and an interior designer, shares her perspective on art collection. She believes that the context alters art's influence, favoring unexpected placements such as her Hamptons retreat in Sagaponack, where works by Rashid Johnson, Richard Tuttle, Marina Perez Simão, Elizabeth Neel, and Raymond Pettibon blend with her unique decor. Dorn's collecting journey began post-2003, when she acquired Amy Sillman's 'Letters from Texas' at Art Basel Miami Beach.
