Facades+ Conference Heads to Vancouver on October 27 with Mass Timber and Facade Technology Focus
On October 27, the Facades+ conference is set to occur at The Fairmont in Vancouver, highlighting topics related to design and facade technology. The program was crafted by co-chairs Harold Louwerse and Brett Pattrick from Stantec. Participants will have the opportunity to visit the Methods + Materials gallery, showcasing 18 exhibitors of building products. Kim Winston from HCMA will present the hybrid mass timber Rosemary Brown Recreation Center. A panel will address efficient facade construction, while Revery Architecture and Stantec will discuss the PNE Amphitheatre. The BCIT Tall Timber Student Housing team will present on sustainability. Jakub Policht will talk about building envelope performance, and a roundtable on passive cooling will include Tanya Doran, Charling Li, and Martina Soderlund. The conference will conclude with a session on the facade development of Fifteen Fifteen Alberni.
