FABRIKculture Hosts 'Strictly Collective' with Five Swiss and French Collectives

At FABRIKculture in Hégenheim, France, close to Basel, Switzerland, five art collectives from Switzerland and France are collaborating in an exhibition named "Strictly Collective." The featured groups—Ado+Comenius (Basel), Com&Com (Zurich/St. Gallen), GislerGähwiler (Lucerne), Ouest-Lumière (Paris), and Protoplast (Basel)—were selected from 36 global entries. This exhibition is inspired by a thesis in KUNSTFORUM International Vol. 285, "All together now! Art in the Collective" (2022), which posits that collective authorship is now the standard in contemporary art. "Strictly Collective" explores this concept through tangible collaboration, representing five distinct signatures unified in one form. The exhibition is open until November 1, 2026, with its opening dated October 4, 2026. FABRIKculture serves as a laboratory for contemporary art, focusing on visual and plastic arts while promoting experimental endeavors. It positions itself as a cultural institution with a European and cross-border focus.
