Eva Chow's Seoul Guide: From KHEE Soju to Frieze Seoul Favorites

Eva Chow, a Seoul-born creative and founder of premium soju brand KHEE, shares her personal guide to Seoul in an interview with Whitewall. Chow, who divides her time between Los Angeles and Seoul, discusses her journey into soju, which began after tasting it with Psy, and her mission to elevate traditionally distilled soju. KHEE uses premium rice, natural rock water, and yeast, aged in traditional Onggi clay, and has won the Korean National Spirits Award Grand Prize for three consecutive years. Chow emphasizes the importance of curation and emotion in both collecting art and building her brand. She recommends Seoul Forest, Samwon Garden, Hansung Kalguksu, and a walk along the Han River for visitors during Frieze Seoul, which returns to COEX for its fifth edition from September 2–5, featuring over 125 galleries from 30 countries. Chow also highlights Seoul's dynamic blend of old and new, and her upcoming projects include KHEE 16.5%, a lower-ABV soju, and KHEE SOOOOOMAEK, a premium soju and pale ale mix.
