EU disburses first €3 billion of €90 billion loan to Ukraine
The European Union has released the initial €3 billion of a €90 billion loan to Ukraine, as announced by Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko at a recovery conference in Poland. The event was attended by German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. Since February 2022, the EU has extended €200 billion in support to Ukraine and has approved an additional €90 billion over the next two years.
