Estúdio Campana and Perkins&Will Design Itaú's Sala Pedra Preta Lounge at São Paulo's Guarulhos Airport
So, there's this fancy lounge called Sala Pedra Preta, which just opened up in Terminal 3 at São Paulo's Guarulhos International Airport. It’s run by Plaza Premium Group for the Brazilian bank Itaú and covers 1,400 square meters. Only people with the Itaú Personnalité The One Mastercard Black, World Legend Mastercard, and certain Itaú Private Bank clients can access it. The design was done by Perkins&Will, while Estúdio Campana handled the art. The lounge features a stunning exterior made of 1,000 square meters of Goiabão wood veneer. Inside, there's a reception counter called 'Pão de Açúcar' made of walnut and a striking chandelier named 'Paisagem' that weighs a quarter-tonne. The art includes works by Burle Marx and Ohtake, and Chef Luiz Filipe Souza created the menu, inspired by Humberto Campana's landscape.
