Esoteric's T-01 Turntable Uses Magnetic Drive, Eliminating Belts
Esoteric has introduced the T-01 turntable, marking its second model equipped with the MagneDrive System, which follows the Grandioso T1 released in 2022. This innovative system employs magnetic induction to spin the platter, effectively minimizing vibration and rumble. The Magnetic Driver ensures rotation synchronization without physical contact, removing the need for belts while providing high torque and consistent speeds for 33⅓ and 45 rpm playback. The T-01 features Magne-Float platter technology that lessens the load on the spindle bearing, alongside a triple-layer chassis, an integrated MagneDrive motor, and new isolation feet. It utilizes Esoteric's Master Sound Discrete Clock motor driver, allows synchronization with external clocks, and has adjustable speed. Weighing 35 kg, the T-01 will be available globally at the end of September 2026.
