Ernesto Cánovas: Director’s Cut Opens at Halcyon on New Bond Street
On 8 June, Halcyon will unveil "Director’s Cut," a new exhibition featuring original works by Spanish artist Ernesto Cánovas at their flagship location, 148 New Bond Street, London. This showcase includes an ambitious collection that expands on Cánovas’ unique visual style, which is influenced by found imagery, nostalgia, memory, and the emotional weight of incomplete tales. His artwork portrays evocative, partially revealed narratives with elements such as cowboys, vintage interiors, and neon-lit streets, resembling snippets from an unfinished film. Cánovas combines his own photography with 20th-century Americana and vintage materials to create paintings that reveal as much as they conceal. Paul Green, Halcyon’s Founder and President, praises the immediate emotional impact of Cánovas’ work, affirming his status as a leading contemporary artist. The exhibition is free and open daily starting 8 June.
