English Ceramic Circle Seeks Up to Three Commissions for 2027 V&A Centenary Display
The English Ceramic Circle (ECC) has issued a call for up to three ceramic commissions for its centenary exhibition at V&A South Kensington, set to open in October 2027 and continue until September 2028. Ceramic artists from the UK are invited to submit proposals that draw inspiration from British ceramic production prior to 1900, with each chosen artist awarded £3,000. Proposals should address themes such as material innovation or international influences. The deadline for applications is 15 November 2026, with notifications of selection occurring in December 2026. Completed works are expected by September 2027, and artists must submit installation details by June 2027. The ECC plans to donate the pieces to a public museum in the UK, and selected artists will gain ECC membership. Submissions must include a 300-word statement and a 500-word proposal.
