Elspeth Vince's 'Soft Tissue' Inaugurates Refusés' Permanent Park Royal Space

exhibition · 2026-10-06

Elspeth Vince's exhibition titled Soft Tissue is set to commence on 8th October and will continue until 27th November 2026 at the newly established Queensrollahouse, part of Refusés, located in Park Royal, London. This showcase features paintings that delve into the remnants of experiences that are not entirely remembered, with a focus on fragmented figures and domestic settings. Notable pieces include Lost Body (2026), At Source (2026), and Behind Sleep (2026). The theme of absence is further emphasized through the gallery's lighting and installations. During Frieze Week, Vince will unveil The Beating in My Chest (Diptych) and Dust Motes. Refusés, launched in 2024 by Athina Sanvido and Juliette Miller, has previously occupied various venues. Vince, born in 1993, is an alumna of the Royal College of Art and has participated in exhibitions globally, receiving multiple grants.
