Elora Joshi and Andrew Greene Bring Shaker-Inspired Aluminium Rail System to Milan Design Week

architecture-design · 2026-10-18

Elora Joshi and Andrew Greene, creatives based in Los Angeles, introduced a modular aluminum rail system during Milan Design Week as part of their project, Convey. This innovation stemmed from a commercial hanging system that Greene utilized in his sculpture work, aimed at eliminating the need for frequent wall drilling. The rail provides a means to showcase items and suspend clothing off the ground. Drawing inspiration from Shaker furniture and minimalist design, it also nods to 19th-century pieces from the United Society of Believers in Christ's Second Appearing. At the event in Milan, the rail elegantly outlined a minimalist space filled with various aluminum products. Joshi and Greene plan to adapt the rail for clients, including bar tables and retail environments.
