Eliott June O’Dowd’s Surreal Urbias at M16 Artspace

Eliott June O’Dowd presents 'Guide to Surreal Urbias' at M16 Artspace in the Australian Capital Territory from 2 to 26 July 2026. The multidisciplinary exhibition combines sculpture, textile crafts, painting, and printmaking, exploring themes of gender, joy, and life. Inspired by plants, the collection reinterprets observed colors and forms, blending the imagined and real through abstract and loosely figurative expressions. O’Dowd works on the lands of the Ngunnawal and Ngambri peoples. Featured work 'curling glory' (2026) uses mixed media with variable dimensions.
